At Queen of Apostles, our TK program offers a warm, joyful learning experience where our youngest learners grow socially, emotionally, academically, and spiritually. Through play-based, hands-on activities, we nurture the whole child — helping them build early academic skills, creativity, faith, independence, and a strong sense of community.

Hands On Learning
Each part of the TK day is intentionally designed to spark curiosity, build foundational skills, and support early learning across all subject areas. Students learn through meaningful, interactive experiences such as:

Science: Hands-on activities and investigations help students explore the world, ask questions, observe closely, and build early inquiry skills.

Literacy Centers: Interactive centers guide students as they explore letters, sounds, and stories—supporting the development of strong early reading, writing, and language skills.

Creative Time & Dramatic Play: Art, building, pretend play, and collaborative activities allow students to express ideas, develop communication skills, and strengthen creativity and problem-solving.

Fundations / Phonics: Students build strong foundational literacy skills through structured phonics, handwriting practice, and early reading and writing activities.

Math (Eureka Math Squared): Engaging lessons help students develop number sense, understand patterns and shapes, and practice early problem-solving in an interactive and supportive environment.

Social Studies: Students learn about citizenship, community helpers, their neighborhood, and the concept of time through stories and real-world connections.

TK students enjoy classes taught by specialist teachers, giving them opportunities to explore creativity, movement, culture, and self-expression beyond the core classroom.
