After School Sports & Activities


Chess club: Affiliated with Success Chess, this chess club meets weekly throughout the school year with chess instructors to learn and practice chess skills.

Homework club: Grades 1-8 work with a dedicated teacher, two days a week, for 45 minutes.

Robotics: Students in grades 4-8 work with parents in regular evening meetings. The meetings start with the basics during the training sessions, so no prior knowledge is needed. The meetings/training sessions culminate in one team taking part in the Robotics competition in the fall.

Scouts: Tiger Cubs for boys begins at the end of Kindergarten and runs through Webelos II in fifth grade. The Girl Scout program begins with Daisies in Kindergarten and continues with Brownies and Girl Scouts.

Sports: The 5th through 8th grade students, both boys and girls, have a chance to gather together in a positive social environment and participate in competitive after school sports programs including boys’ flag football, basketball, girls’ softball, volleyball, and track & field. Track and Field culminates in a one day event held at Archbishop Mitty High School. Queen of Apostles students compete against other Diocesan schools and exemplify the “Never Give Up” Attitude.

Yearbook: The Yearbook Moderator compiles the school yearbook. Students are invited to design the front and back covers based on the theme of the school year for what is always a very successful yearbook.
